The 2024 Meursault Vieilles Vignes comes from two parcels in Les Pellans and Les Pelles Dessus, raised in around 20% new oak. This has quite an energetic bouquet, a little feistier than the other cuvées, with touches of lemon balm and menthol accompanying the citrus fruit. The palate is very well balanced with gentle grip, modest weight, a little waxy in texture with good extract on the leesy finish and a dash of pepper on the aftertaste. I am intrigued to see how this will mature in bottle.(NM)
