Julio Reyes uses Tempranillo grapes from Pedrosa de Duero and its surrounding villages to make this serious, ambitiously priced Crianza. Smooth, supple and ripe, as the Pago de los Capellanes wines tend to be, it has sweet, vanilla-scented oak, mouth-coating tannins, flavours of blackberry, fig and mulberry and enough acidity to lift and freshen the finish.
