The 2022 Frank Cornelissen "Munjebel CR" (Campo Re) is a profound and backward single-vineyard Nerello Mascalese from one of Etna's most prestigious sites (735m). The nose is dark and seductive, featuring crushed blackberries, wild herbs (sage, oregano), and volcanic ash. On the palate, it is the most "Nebbiolo-like" of the range—full-bodied and deep, with intense dark fruit balanced by a silky texture and a powerful, grippy tannin structure. The finish is exceptionally long and mineral-driven. Often considered the estate's most serious cru after the flagship Magma, the CR is built for significant aging.
