The nose is bright and "Alpine," offering high-toned aromas of sour cherry, wild raspberry, and rosebud with complex notes of white pepper and mountain herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and crystalline, balancing crunchy red fruit with a backbone of firm, granitic minerality and zesty acidity. The finish is long and savory, featuring refined, "enveloping" tannins. Crafted by the Sega family through heroic viticulture, it is a pure, unfiltered expression of the Valtellina.
