The 2023 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc has a stern bouquet that takes time to open in the glass, light sea spray scents, quite malic but this is very well defined. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, a lovely resinous texture, plenty of extract here that is commendable for a second wine. Doubtless great value given the quality. (NM)

Creamy and gourmet, a touch of lemon but this has some creamy honeyed vanilla and butterscotch to it which, combined with the acidity, is really nice. A touch less zingy than some but this really works. Lemon, apple, peach and pineapple almost. Clean ending. (GH)
