Note: from vines planted in 1988 in Vignes Derrière. Discreet wood influence is present on the equally vaguely exotic aromas of white peach, spice, dried apricot and a whiff of matchstick character. The dense and very sappy flavors are also rich to the point of opulence yet there is excellent punch to the stony, balanced and agreeably dry finale. Though I would not describe this as classic Caillerets, it's still very good and worth considering.*Burghound Outstanding!*
