Bas Armagnac is celebrated for producing some of the most aromatic and long lived brandies in Gascony. The 1982 harvest is widely considered one of the finest of the last century, blessed with exceptional growing conditions that produced deeply concentrated eau de vie. This extraordinary single barrel from the now closed Domaine Sancin was distilled in 1982 and aged for 42 years before being bottled at cask strength, 97.2 proof and 48.6 percent ABV. Non chill filtered and without additives, it stands as a rare surviving example from a great vintage.
