The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is matured in 25% new oak. This has a concentrated bouquet for the vintage with a slight petrolly aroma that does not deviate it away from Burgundy typicité. The palate is taut and fresh, perhaps the oak just a little pronounced at the moment and controlling the finish. Therefore give this a couple of years in bottle just to soak that up.(NM)

Note: 25% new wood using 350 L barrels. Smoky aromas of petrol, rosemary oil and white fleshed fruit are trimmed in subtle if still easily perceptible wood influence. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the medium weight flavors that display good power on the long, balanced and ever-so-mildly rustic finale.
