A little more colour here than the generics. The bouquet is reserved, but suggesting some fruit weight behind, which indeed does prove to be the case on the palate. An intense fresh white fruit, tapering away towards a little oak at the finish, well judged. Correct acidity once again. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is matured in 25% new oak. This has a concentrated bouquet for the vintage with a slight petrolly aroma that does not deviate it away from Burgundy typicité. The palate is taut and fresh, perhaps the oak just a little pronounced at the moment and controlling the finish. Therefore give this a couple of years in bottle just to soak that up.(NM)

Note: 25% new wood using 350 L barrels. Smoky aromas of petrol, rosemary oil and white fleshed fruit are trimmed in subtle if still easily perceptible wood influence. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the medium weight flavors that display good power on the long, balanced and ever-so-mildly rustic finale. This is an impressive Chassagne villages and recommended.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "1.5ha from 9 parcels of villages here Fine width – less vertical – and a very finely divided complexity – a small cushion of concentration to this nose. Wow clarity and fluidity – mineral, saline – I’d like just a twist of extra (maybe citrus) energy but this is fabulous for a villages."(02/2026)
