Blanton's is the world's first single barrel bourbon - created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee and named for Col. Albert B. Blanton. Elmer had seen Col Blanton's hand select "honey barrels" from the center of warehouse H countless times to share with special guests and friends of the old Stagg distillery that he cared for so deeply.
