The 2020 Le Chiuse Brunello di Montalcino is an elegant, high-energy masterpiece that captured the best of a challenging vintage by harvesting early to preserve "electric" acidity. The nose is precise and perfumed, offering crushed roses, violets, and exotic spices over a core of bright cassis. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, balancing fleshy red fruit with taut, refined tannins and a savory, saline finish. Because the estate produced no Riserva in 2020, all of their finest fruit was funneled into this bottling, resulting in a wine of exceptional depth and "northern" grace.
