Just a little deeper in colour, a fresh pale purple. The bouquet expresses the joy of Malconsorts, floral as well as with an exquisite darker cherry fruit and as usual this is by far the most complete wine on the palate with a deep cherry expression, just more red cherry than black, but with a sense of harmony that excites. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2024.

Note: from a .74 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines. There is a coolness to the airy and beautifully layered aromas of spice, the essence of various red berries and jasmine tea where a hint of dried orange peel can be found. While there is excellent punch and an almost pungent minerality to the middle weight flavors, they are not particularly dense though there is outstanding depth and persistence on the firm, austere and unapologetically built-to-age finale. While certainly quite firm today, this is a wine that I suspect could be reasonably approached after only 5 to 8 years.*Burghound Outstanding!*
