The single-vineyard 2022 Nervi-Conterno "Vigna Molsino" Gattinara has not yet been released. Roberto Conterno’s cellaring regimen holds back the single-vineyard crus for an extra year compared to the flagship blend (the straight 2022 Gattinara is the latest release). The current vintage of Molsino on the market is 2020. When it eventually arrives, it will showcase its classic southern-facing amphitheater terroir. Compared to the more vertical and linear Valferana, Molsino brings a richer, broader, and more texturally substantial side of volcanic Nebbiolo, typically showing deep notes of dark cherry, wild plum, licorice, and massive, structured tannins built for the long haul.
