The light-bodied palate is pure and detailed with a core of savory fruit, and its chalkiness and vibrancy combine for a long, shimmery finish. The 2021 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is a new wine, all from the Mae estate. A gorgeous wine, the 2021 is creamy, resonant and super-expressive. Orchard fruit, citrus confit, white flowers and white pepper all open in the glass, all framed by the wine's gentle viscosity and soft contours that wrap it all together in style. (AG)
