Decanter
Reviewed December 2025A zippy, lively Riesling from the insanely steep slate slopes of the Middle Mosel, near the village of Brauneberg. Airy mineral tones announce the aromatics with juicy pineapple, smoky flint and ocean brine. The palate zips along with green mangoes, sea salt and wet slate as dry as a bone.(CP)

James Suckling
Very clean and crisp, this light-bodied dry Mosel wine is extremely refreshing and well balanced. Spring blossom and garden herb aromas. A touch of slate in the finish completes the attractive picture. From organically grown grapes with Fair Choice certification. Drink now. Screw cap.

Vinous
The 2024 Riesling trocken was picked in the Mülheimer Sonnenlay and Brauneberger Klostergarten, primarily from old vines and younger vines from the Grosse Lagen. Gentle reduction shimmers with lovely citrus brightness on the nose, even with a touch of bergamot. The super-slender palate also has this zestiness and verve, but bedded in fine, ripe extract. The 2024 is a wonderful mouthful. (Bone-dry)(AK)
Notes
89pts Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 02 25. The 2024er Riesling Trocken comes from Estate’s holdings in the Brauneberger Klostergarten, Burgener Römerberg, Mülheimer Sonnenlay, and Monzeler Kätzchen as well as from young vines from the Brauneberger Juffer. This wine offers a beautiful nose made peach, white flower, fine spices, and smoke. It develops a nice balanced feel of fruits, bergamot, ginger, and zest on the palate and develops great feel in the finish. This is a gorgeous expression of Estate Riesling. 2026-2030."(12/2025)
