The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has a fragrant bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, quite minerally and stony compared to the previous vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip on the entry. It moves firmly into black fruit territory with touches of graphite toward the finish that is a little more austere than some others, yet still well balanced and fresh.(NM)

Note: from Clos Solon and En Seuvrey. A perfumed, expressive and very pretty nose combines airy notes of plum, red currant and more subtle earth influence. The vibrant middle weight flavors possess a bit more volume as well as an appealing texture that carries over to the precise and youthfully austere finale where a slight edginess slowly appears. This could use more depth so a few years of cellaring are in order.
