Reviewed January 2026The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos des Murées 1er Cru, the monopole of the estate, tends to produce larger berries that take longer to ripen. It is precise, flinty and focused on the nose, again a little Puligny-like in style. Quite strict, there is a pleasing marine influence towards the finish. It will be tempting to open this early but it will certainly age.(NM)

Note: a .33 monopole of the Domaine. Moderate reduction overshadows everything but the wood influence. On the palate there is both good volume and richness to the delicious and seductively textured flavors that exhibit good if not special length on the balanced finale. This should drink well early on if desired or be capable of rewarding mid-term keeping.

BIll Nanson Burgundy Report: "Monopoly of the domaine. Always the last picked with the lowest sugars. Extra depth to this nose – but still with a fine energy. A little extra gas. Growing in energy and certainly intensity – that’s a lip-smacking wine with some delicious finishing citrus bitters and a tiny last impression of barrel and some salinity…"(12/2025)
