Note: from a huge 3.5 ha holding that is composed by <75% of Vaillons proper with the remainder from Roncières, Mélinots and Châtains; from yields of only 15 hl/ha in 2024. Cool, airy and beautifully layered aromas of white pepper, lemon zest, quinine and an array of floral wisps serve as an elegant introduction to the dense, overtly stony and vibrant middle weight flavors that possess first-rate cut and excellent length on the lightly bitter citrus-inflected finale. This is lovely and while it could use better depth, the balance is impeccable.*Burghound Outstanding!*
