Note: from two parcels of vines that total 2.55 ha, or 22% of the entire appellation; from yields of only 2.5 hl/ha in 2024. This is also wonderfully elegant, pure and airy with its combination of citrus, petrol, quinine, salt water and algae. Here too the mouthfeel of the big-bodied flavors is dense to the point of being almost thick yet the natural refinement of a classic Preuses is maintained, all wrapped in a precise, palate staining, massively long and perfectly balanced finish. This is seriously good and while finding it may be well night impossible, if you do don't hesitate!*Burghound Don't Miss!*

Expressive, featuring fruit aromas of ripe pear and nectarine rather than citrus. There is a silky elegance and delicacy to the texture that sets it apart from the domaine's more powerful Les Clos, but it is still a wine of compelling beauty. Fèvre farms 2.5ha here in two parcels: a hectare on a steep slope on the edge of Vaudésir and a further 1.5ha on the plateau at the top of the slope.(CC)

Didier Séguier lamented that there were often just a few berries on each stalk in Preuses. The resulting wine is every bit as intense as one might expect, with mouthfilling concentration, some grippy tautness and bewitching flavor complexity. Apple skins, digestive cracker and pie crust line the palate before the crackling limestone freshness overtakes the languid finish.

Les Preuses was both badly hailed and mildewed, leaving just 4 hl/ha. Mid lemon yellow, starts quietly then a whiff of the real Preuses. Fills the mid palate, not quite so much behind. A little spice to finish. Slight lemon notes as well. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Jul 2025.
