Notes
Located about 50 miles west of Sancerre along the banks of the Cher River, Quincy remains one of the Loire Valley's hidden gems for Sauvignon Blanc. Domaine Mardon is widely regarded as the benchmark estate of the appellation, with Hélène Mardon continuing her family's winemaking tradition that dates back to the early 19th century. Their "Très Vieilles Vignes" cuvée is sourced from organically farmed vines between 50 and 80 years old, planted in the gravelly, sandy soils deposited by the Cher River. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged entirely in stainless steel, the wine combines vibrant freshness with remarkable depth, offering a compelling expression of Quincy that rivals many far more expensive examples from neighboring Sancerre.
