The second of two price champion shiraz bottlings at this address, this leans a little away from the opulence of the Silver Hammer, pitching a little more savoury, with a ferrous mineral edge along with dried bay leaf. There’s still a plump of rich plum and blackberry fruit and some nutty oak, with crowd-pleasing appeal, though it has a little more crossover application for those after a breezier ride. (ME)
