This wine is concentrated, with aromas of dark cherry, plum, potpourri, orange pekoe black tea and toasted almond on the nose. Flavors of black plum and cherry-rhubarb are interwoven with pomegranate, orange zest, toasted vanilla and a dry, supple finish. (TP)
Notes
From the CCOF organic certified estate owned RSM (Rex Scott McClellan) Vineyard. Planted in 1999, this steep, six acre, hillside parcel is surrounded in Coastal Redwoods. This wine is a best block and best barrel selection exemplifying the vineyard's voice. The 2021 RSM is a blend of Dijon clones 115, 667 and Pommard. It was fermented with native yeast and aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak.
