The Rollet family’s 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé “Grand Climats” bottling is made from vines that average thirty years of age. The wine is raised in fifty percent new oak, but only for three months, before the wine is racked out of the new casks. The wine’s aromatic constellation this year is beautiful, offering up scents of pear, apple, almond, a touch of passion fruit, chalky soil tones and a very gentle framing of buttery oak. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied, focused and youthfully complex, with a superb core of fruit, fine soil signature, a lovely spine of acidity and a long, impeccably balanced and bouncy finish. This is excellent Pouilly-Fuissé! (Drink between 2025-2045)

Now includes the Vieilles Vignes which were previously made apart. Pale to mid yellow. The nose has class, white fruit but ripe, a little bit of a stony reduction. Delicious white fruit on the palate, crisp on the attack, more flesh behind with a long sensual finish. Very classy. Half made in barrel, largely new, and half in tank. Drink from 2027-2032.
