Do Ferreiro is one of the benchmark estates of Galicia’s Rías Baixas, celebrated for revealing the serious, age-worthy side of Albariño, and nowhere is that more evident than in Cepas Vellas. This wine is produced from a one-hectare vineyard that contains some of the oldest Albariño vines in the Salnés Valley—many planted over 200 years ago—trained in the traditional pergola system and rooted in granitic, sandy soils that naturally limit vigor and yield. These ancient vines produce fruit of remarkable concentration and mineral intensity, giving Cepas Vellas a depth, texture, and saline precision that set it apart from more straightforward expressions of the grape.
