ARC-54 is a 54 year old single malt matured with extraordinary restraint and precision, spending its long life in a combination of second fill European oak sherry butt and third fill American oak hogshead before being brought together for a final 15 month marrying period. Bottled at 44.3% and presented as part of Bowmore’s ongoing collaboration with Aston Martin, this whisky is both a sensory and philosophical exploration of time, balance, and flow. Inspired by the aerodynamic forms of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the sculptural glass decanter mirrors the liquid within, capturing movement, depth, and reflection as an extension of the whisky itself. The profile is remarkably vivid for its age, offering spun gold color, layered aromas of syrupy vanilla, soft butterscotch, buttery shortbread, tropical mango, ripe peach, orange zest, toasted oak, candied walnut, and a subtle lift of eucalyptus.
