Elijah Craig’s 2025 Barrel Proof Rye “Batch A925” marks the brand’s first-ever barrel-proof rye release, expanding a lineage that began with Elijah Craig bourbon in 1986 and added rye only decades later. The whiskey is distilled by Heaven Hill using a Kentucky-style mashbill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley, aged 12 years and 3 months, and bottled at 108 proof. Released in September 2025, Batch A925 represents the inaugural entry in the new Barrel Proof Rye line, produced in uncut form to showcase long-aged Heaven Hill rye distillate. Positioned as a limited annual release, it reflects Heaven Hill’s broader expansion of the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof program, historically focused on bourbon since 2013.
