Bright magenta in the glass, the 2023 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard Estate opens with aromas of tropical citrus, pomegranate, cranberry, and toasted spice. The palate is zesty, salty, and vibrant, with lively acidity and crushed stone minerality. I love the tension and energy this wine adds to the diversity of the range, and while it’s undoubtedly going to improve and open up with time, I rather enjoy the nervous youthful verve it has now as well. Drink 2025-2040.

An upright and slightly austere Pinot Noir from the Bethel Heights estate property, Justice Vineyard, in the 2023 vintage. Aromas of freshly cut, ripe strawberries, mint leaves, and pine sap fill the glass. A brilliant array of taut red berries and a piquant squeeze of blood orange light up the palate with undeniable freshness. Sea salt and dried wild alpine herbs lend a rich, savoury, and mineral framework to the copious fruit.
