I really like Hirsch, it's a really interesting winery that feels like a purposeful accident in how it came about, lots of right place and right time and they've made it pay off so well. This wine is always a favorite around here, and not just because it has a cat on the label, but that doesn't hurt. This is that super pretty and elegant style that I really have come to love, there's cherry, raspberry, strawberry, with maybe a bit of frozen cranberry grated on top and it's got this really great line of mouthwatering acidity while having enough tannin to stay interesting. This is more approachable and immediately drinkable style and it shows in the best of ways, it's an easy bottle of Pinot Noir to love.
