Harvested early to mitigate the effects of the hot growing season, this is a deeply coloured, youthful Cabernet with lots of structure and intensity. Adroitly wooded in 25% new French oak, it's stony and pure, with layered dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit and supporting acidity

The warm 2020 vintage has produced powerful wines with generous alcohol levels, as well as reds (especially cabernet sauvignon) with firm, sharp tannins, particularly those that have been harvested early in the season, as is the case of this Max, whose harvest was about three weeks early on average.
