MAN Vintners, located in Stellenbosch, was established in 2001 by José Conde and brothers Tyrrel and Philip Myburgh, who named the winery after the first initials of their wives: Marie, Anette, and Nicky. The winery’s philosophy centers on producing high-quality, sustainably grown, and varietally true wines that offer exceptional value. Their grapes are largely sourced from dry-farmed vineyards in the Agter-Paarl and Coastal Region, promoting intense flavor concentration in the fruit. The “Padstal” Chardonnay is named after the traditional roadside farm stalls of South Africa, symbolizing the country's local produce and community spirit. The wine is crafted to be a refreshing, lively expression of Chardonnay – a balancing act between crisp fruit and very subtle oak creaminess. The palate is typically zesty and fresh, showcasing lime and lemon, complemented by white nectarine and greengage plum.
