Review Date: 07/2025Pouring a ruby red color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Fort Ross-Seaview is ripe on the nose with notes of black raspberries, pressed flowers, sweet sage, and forest earth. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a compact structure, savory mineral accents that frame the palate, fantastic, elegant length, and a good tension. Drink 2026-2040.

Notes
Fort Ross Vineyard was planted in 1994 by Lester and Linda Schwartz. The vines grow in the coastal mountains of the far west Sonoma Coast less than one mile from the Pacific Ocean. The elevation of the vineyard keeps it just out of the daily fog at 1,200 - 1,700 feet. The wines are expertly crafted by Jeff Pisoni. The 2023 Pinot Noir is composed of heritage clonal selections: Swan, Calera, Pommard, and Dijon 115. The wine matured for 11 months on French oak, 30% new, for 11 months. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
