I love the smoky note that’s intertwined with the succulent fruit flavors, building in the very long, silky and refined finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Riesling Sommerberg Grand Cru had no trouble with dryness in 2023 on the granitic soils, as the vine roots can penetrate this steep, rocky site. A wonderfully smoky sense of flint speaks of the delicious and promising reduction with a sense of crunchy, tart red apple. The palate is serene and slender, with granitic verve, cut, depth and a marked stoniness that is so enticing. This is wonderfully racy, taut and sinous. (Bone-dry)(AK)
