Imagine if, back when we crafted that Bourbon, we had the foresight to set aside a few barrels of its prized 7-year-old component. Then imagine those barrels were tucked away and nurtured with unwavering care for nearly two decades in new charred American oak. Now picture this: those same barrels resurfaced and bottled at full cask strength after twenty years of quiet, patient maturation. Can you imagine that? We're not saying that's what we did -because it's not. But what if we had? It stands as a singular expression of American whiskey -one that’s not currently part of the regular modern whiskey landscape. For now, it remains a fleeting dream. This incredible single barrel was distilled from the 21% rye mashbill in 2006 and aged with meticulous attention for nearly twenty year and bottled without dilution or chillfiltration of any kind exclusively for K&L Wine Merchants.
