Antonio Antonio is Luis Antonio Santiago's uncle. He's been distilling for nearly 50 years and now at the age of 73, he very rarely produces batches, but when he does they're always exceptional. Made in the same palenque in San Vicente Coatlan that has produced so many other legendary batches, this rare expression from 18-20 year old wild harvest Tepeztate is simply on another level. Roasted in traditional ovens over black oak, the agave is cut by machete before mechanical milling. Left to ferment for 5 days in cypress tanks before double distillation in small copper alambique stills. Distillation was completed on November 23rd of 2024 and adjusted with heads, tails and mineral well water to a deceptively drinkable 50.8% alc by vol. From this tiny batch of 100 liters only 60 bottles were exported for exclusive sale at K&L Wine Merchants.
