Reyneke is celebrated as a pioneer in organic and biodynamic viticulture in South Africa, having been the first farm in the country to achieve Demeter certification for biodynamics. Led by founder Johan Reyneke, the estate embraces a holistic, non-interventionist approach, avoiding all synthetic chemicals, using natural predators like ducks for pest control, and making their own compost.This old vine Chenin Blanc is a blend of the oldest vineyards on the Reyneke estate. The vineyards were planted in 1974 and 1979 respectively.
