97pts Ian d'Agata Wine: "Good bright medium-deep yellow with some gold. Apple sauce, Calvados, lemon confit, guava and green pineapple on the captivating nose; a dusting of minerals and a hint of lemon verbena add interest and complexity. In the mouth, boasts a very nice deep suave glyceral ripeness to its yellow and tropical fruit. The aftertaste is luscious, long and refreshing. Marvelous balance here (only 13% alcohol, 2.8 g/L r.s. and 5.6 g/L total acidity): with its intense glyceral sweetness yet lively acidity, this is perfect for scallops and lobster. Note that this is a completely different style from Weinbach’s “regular” 2023 Schlossberg, but each one of these two great wines will have legions of fans. Those who like their wines richer and with a hint of sweetness will love this wine that has an oiliness reminiscent of Viognier. Drinking window: 2029-2039."(10/2025)
