1994 was marked by heavy rains at the end of the summer, prompting this wine to deliver a herbaceous quality alongside black and red hedgerow fruits and a hint of creaminess and spice. The fruit has a stewed and dried quality to it, and there's some volatility too, but the mouthfeel is quite plush, bolstered by grainy-textured tannins. (JB)
