Dark red. Nearly hallucinatory nose offers a wild range of red and dark fruits, smoked meat, cola, licorice, vanilla, incense and Asian spices. Intense, sweet and deep, with a remarkable array of fruit flavors ranging from raspberry to boysenberry, and including pretty much any berry you could imagine. Very concentrated and very long on the back; whatever tannins the wine possesses are completely absorbed by the black hole of dense fruit. (JR)
