From a dedicated, family-run estate, the 2018 Cascina Morassino “Ovello” is a stunning and classically structured Barbaresco from one of the appellation's most famous crus. This wine perfectly captures the elegance and aromatic depth of the Ovello site. The nose is wonderfully expressive, with notes of sour cherry, dried rose petal, and licorice, layered with savory hints of crushed mint, tar, and a distinct, firm minerality. On the palate, it’s medium-to-full-bodied, with a core of savory red fruit framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and a vibrant, energetic acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and nuanced.
