The 2024er Elisenberger Riesling Kabinett, as it is referred to on the consumer label, was made from fruit picked at 78° Oechsle in the area around the sundial and in the upper part of the vineyard and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (45 g/l). The wine still has some residual scents from its spontaneous fermentation, which will eventually go away. This gives way to gorgeous scents of peach, citrus, chalk, white flowers, ginger, and smoke. The wine is beautifully precise and zesty on the palate and leaves a superb feel of fresh herbs and spices in the long finish. This is a great Kabinett which lives from lightness and intensity. 2034-2054."(07/2025)
