The 2024er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett was made from fruit harvested at 78° Oechsle on 80-90-year-old un-grafted vines and was fermented down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (46 g/l). This offers a very engaging nose made of peach, passion fruit, white flowers, herbs, and smoke. The wine proves beautifully precise and elegant on the palate, where the fruity side is nicely wrapped into ripe acidity. The finish is animating, elegant, and quite irresistible.
