Pale gold color. Nose gives crisp pear, almond biscotti and sourdough crust. A round palate of maraschino cherry cordial, marzipan and lime. Perfection!
Notes
This fantastic wine comes from vines of over 40 years old on the Coutelas estate. It is composed of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier and aged for four years on the lees. They only use the first press or "cuvée" in this blend, and dose it low at 7 grams per liter. It is a zesty style, framed by warm baguette toast that finishes dry and surprisingly long.
