2023 Monteleone "Anthemis" Etna Bianco

From one of Etna’s most exciting new producers, the 2023 Monteleone “Anthemis” is a stunningly pure and mineral-driven Etna Bianco. Sourced from high-altitude, north-facing vineyards, this Carricante-based blend captures the essence of its volcanic terroir. The nose is bright, precise, and intensely aromatic, with notes of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers, layered over a powerful core of crushed flint, smoke, and a hint of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, taut, and energetic, with a vibrant, almost electric acidity that frames the pristine citrus and orchard fruit flavors. The finish is exceptionally long, clean, and resonant, echoing with a distinct, saline minerality. A benchmark Etna Bianco with incredible purity and tension.
