James Halliday
Reviewed July 2024Grown on vines with an average age of 45 years. Complex aromatics lead to a complex palate. Anise, slate, lime and wet stone characters make a persuasive, and distinctive, pitch at quality. There's flavour here, but it also feels fine-boned and delicate; it has an elegance about it. (CM)

Vinous
The gently aromatic 2023 Riesling Cliff Edge opens up with wafts of fresh pear laced with lemon and lime complexity. A dry, mouthwatering and vibrant palate is well-composed. Lime, earth and spice nuances meet a pithy grip on an extended finish. The 2023 is impressive and quite serious for the price. (AH)

Wine Enthusiast
Delicate citrus and florals ride upon a crisp mountain breeze on this Riesling. It conjures the same air in which these grapes were grown, in the rugged Grampians region of Western Victoria. Dry and pithy on the palate, it's perfectly drinkable now, but is still a baby and should reward patience. (CP)

James Suckling
Lots of riesling character with lemon rind, a timid jasmine note and petrol as well. The palate echoes the aromatic profile: medium- bodied, nervy and incisive with a tightly wound and acid-driven finish. Single vineyard on granite soils. (JGA)
