Reviewed January 2021The holding is located on the southern side of Les Charmes, in the top of the lower part. Pale lemon and lime, plenty of charm to the nose, medium plus bodied, discreet, but there is plenty there, and the finish is elegant and persistent.

The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru perhaps does not deliver quite the same mineralité or energy as the Les Genevrieres on the nose, maybe a little timid at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a sapid entry, quite saline with hints of oyster shells and fruits de mer towards its composed and persistent finish. Very fine. (NM)

Moderately generous wood stops just short of fighting with the ripe aromas of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and white peach. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess an abundance of dry extract that buffers the firm, palate coating and powerful finish. Some patience would be beneficial here as well as this is presently quite compact though not especially austere. *Outstanding*
