I love when we have a serious Cabernet Sauvignon for under $50, it's just something that I feel allows me to put the bottle into more people's hands. This has a super classic nose, there's some brambley fruit, dark cherry, and then a combination of creamy fruit and some barrel spice. There's little hints of black olive and a light mushroom in the very background. The palate is super polished and silky, the tannins already both fine and well-integrated. The fruit pops just a bit more than the nose, super delicious fresh and dried cherries, blackberry, and then leaning into some dried green herbs and the barrel spice coming around for the finish. This is just great, it's got enough acidity that you really want to have it with food, but enough elegance and polish that if you just want to pop the bottle you can go ahead and do that too. Definitely one of our better Cabernet Sauvignons at this price, and likely it won't last long.
