The 2023 Chardonnay Russian River Valley opens with a flicker of reduction before blowing off to reveal a citrusy, bright, lively core. The inclusion of lots aged in concrete egg contributes a good deal of lift and energy. Grapefruit, white pepper, crushed rocks and chalk elongate the finish. Very fresh, and super drinkable. (BN)
