2021 Cristom "Eola Springs Vineyard" Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir
95
Int'l Wine Review
The 2021 Pinot Noirs from Cristom are the best I have tasted from the estate. It’s hard not to fall in love with each one of them. The 2021 Eola Springs Vineyard boasts a light to medium shimmering ruby core with a bluish rim and is sublimely floral on the nose. Fermented with 48% whole-cluster and then aged in 40% new French oak barrels, it has developed a great depth and purity of fruit that shines through on the nose and on the palate. Dusty earth, wild huckleberry, blue plums, chopped dried herbs, and orange pith notes are focused and delicious. It finishes with rounded sweet tannins and expansive acidity.
