The 2015 Coevo is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot and is one of the top-shelf wines from Famiglia Cecchi. This is a beautiful edition of the blended Tuscan red that doles out thick layers of black fruit, spice, tar and grilled herb. It ages in French oak (225- and 500-liter barrels) for 18 months. The balance is great, and the wine offers both richness and a good spot of freshness on the medium to full-bodied finish. This wine tastes great straight out of the gate. Serve it with a platter of Pecorino Toscano wedges, little chunks of Parimggiano Reggiano and some schiacciata (sort of like a Tuscan version of focaccia, with lots of olive oil and rosemary). (ML)

Fantastic depth of fruit and beauty to this with crushed raspberry and berry character. Full to medium body, silky tannins and a long finish. One of the best wines ever from Cecchi.

Soft, ripe, and sexy, with lots of currants, toasted spice, lavender, and tobacco leaf aromas and flavors, the 2015 Coevo is a full-bodied, opulent wine that stays balanced and fresh. With ripe tannins, a deep, opulent mid-palate, and a great finish, it's already drinking nicely yet will keep for over a decade.
