One of the smallest Cru appellations in Beaujolais, Regnie wines are known for their ample fruit and crisp minerality and the 2023 Chateau de Pizay Regnie does not disappoint. Beautiful aromas of blue and purple fruits immediately greet you and then give way to notes of cassis, crushed stone and pain grille. The palate is so sleek with racy notes of blackberry, pomegranate and spice with notes of dried herbs. This is such a sexy red wine that is so smooth and balanced that it feels almost regal. Super plush and juicy this is a delightful red wine that is a flat-out steal for under $20!

Dangerously easy to drink, this attractive Beaujolais has ample juicy raspberry and black cherry notes, with faint iris and lilac in the background. The structure of the wine is well-built, with supple, approachable tannins holding everything together, and refreshing acidity leads the wine into a surprisingly long finish. It doesn’t really get more classic Gamay than this – a fantastic value to have on hand for quiet nights at home.
