The 2023 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) now includes fruit from the Santa Maria Valley, which is really palpable in the savory spice-box character on display here. Tart red fruit, new leather, cedar, exotic spices and lavender flesh out in a wine with gentle, powdery tannins and great elegance. It's soft and approachable, but with no shortage of character.
